Research Blog: Music Video Conventions
Hello Bloggers! In this blog, I will be looking at the convention found in professional music videos. You may be asking, "What is a convention?", a convention is a commonality. To find "conventions", I needed to find a couple examples of music videos. I came up with three music videos: Children's Story by Slick Rick, Mr. Telephone Man by New Edition, and Cool It Now which is also by New Edition. I chose these three songs to look at, as all three of these are 1990s hip-hop and R&B. I also chose the music video on the song I will be doing the music video on.
Here are some elements I took note of in every music video.
