Production Blog - Almost Done Editing

Image
Welcome back, bloggers! As mentioned in my previous blog, this blog will be about editing again. I am pleased to say that I am about 3/4 done with editing the film. I want to focus this blog on one main thing. The other feature I will be using. As in the other blog about editing, where I focused of filters and effects that will be used in my final task, I want to mention another element that will be very noticeable. As a reminder, I am still using CapCut to edit. The name of the element is "Text and Tiles". Here is some information about this element:  CapCut's "Text and Titles" feature offers a versatile toolkit for adding textual elements to your videos. With a wide range of fonts, styles, and animations, you can customize text to perfectly complement your content. Whether you're creating a catchy title sequence, adding subtitles for clarity, or inserting playful captions, CapCut provides the tools to make your text stand out. The intuitive interface allow

Production Blog - Back to Filming

Image
Hello again Bloggers! Long time no see! As you can see by the date of this post, it's been a while since I posted a blog. I will make sure to update you all on everything! I promise. Without further or do, let's get straight into it. Okay, so we all know that the last time I came on here it was a complete disaster. Nevertheless, we still had high spirits. Our high-spirited attitude differently paid off I would say! The crew member that was sick was only sick for 2 days. Then, his sickness cleared and we were cleared to film! We were back like we never left! I am happy to say that we are completely done with the filming process of the production!!! I guess you could say we worked really hard. Maybe we needed that little break! I am so glad that we are done filming! Now all that's left is editing the film. We are almost done! The next blog I post will be about editing, and hopefully finishing the editing. I am excited! Until the next blog! Out.

Production Blog - Ran Into Some Issues

Image
Hello bloggers. Welcome back to another update blog on my final task. As you can probably tell by the title of this blog, I ran into some problems. The main one is that we did not do the second film session. While this doesn't through me completely off schedule, I would've liked to keep the pace we were going at. Secondly, one of my crew members is sick. This is the main reason why we weren't able to film. He has a really bad cough. I hope he recovers fast so that we can stay on pace. Other than those two problems, I haven't really run into any other issues. I hope it stays like that for the duration of the rest of the time we have left to complete the final task. We still are high-spirited as a group though. Keeping high spirits during a film production, especially when things go awry, is incredibly important for the whole team's well-being. When we maintain positivity, it spreads like wildfire, lifting everyone's mood and creating a supportive atmosphere whe

Production Blog - First Day of Editing

Image
Welcome back, bloggers! Today I will be talking about the first day of editing! Similarly to the filming process, the editing process also went fairly smoothly. I wanted to edit as I filmed so that I didn't have to edit everything all at once. I feel like I do things better on the fly rather than waiting until I finish everything to make the final touches. Anyway, while editing I discovered some new features on CapCut that I will use during the final task. One of these features is called filters and effects. Here is a quick summary:   CapCut offers a diverse array of filters and effects to enhance your videos. With its extensive library, you can easily find the perfect visual style to elevate your content. From vintage film effects to futuristic overlays, CapCut provides options to suit every aesthetic preference. These filters and effects allow you to add atmosphere, mood, and flair to your videos with just a few taps. Whether you're aiming for a nostalgic vibe or a sleek mode

Production Blog - Finally, I am Filming

Image
Welcome back, bloggers! As promised from yesterday, this blog will be especially about the first day of filming! The first day went especially smoothly! Smoother than I expected to be honest. My crew and I got a lot done, about one-third of the film was shot. I am very happy that my crew actually studied the script that I gave them. I noticed they had studied the script, as they already had the words memorized. So, we shot most of the dialogue that will be included in my film. Including Detective TJ and Detective Jai. It was a really fun time. Sometimes we had to re-shoot scenes from laughing mid-line. I didn't mind though, the whole point of the film is for it to be funny. Also, it's not like we are pressed for time, we have plenty of time and are actually ahead of schedule. We also added some lines to the script which made the film funnier and more connecting. I give a lot of credit to my crew for that though. It's amazing how many ideas that they came up with to make m

Production Blog - Ready to Begin Filming

Image
Hi bloggers! I am back with another blog to update you all on the process of finishing my final task. We are now about to start the filming process. I am glad that I am starting on time. Starting on time isn't just about punctuality, it's about setting the tone for the entirety of the production. In my opinion, when you show others that you are working with, that you can start on time with something, it shows that you value their time and effort. It also shows professionalism. As you all already know, I have been striving to make this process seem as professional as possible. Starting on time is one of the many things that contribute to that professional feeling. It also reduces the risk of procrastination. I have had a rough time with procrastination, as I tend to wait until the last minute to get things done. I hope that starting on time and sticking to the schedule I have made can help reduce the prominence of procrastination. Now, it is time. It is time to finally begin f

Production Blog - Choosing the Music

Image
Welcome back bloggers! Today is the day that I pick out my music that will be used in my final task! I am so excited. As a reminder, the genre for my task is comedy. However, I choose a combination of comedy and action, as you could see for my final pitch. Because of this, my music needs to match the genre. I don't want to get copyrighted by anybody so I will be using free music. I could've reached out to some makers of music that I want, but, I found the music that I want in my task fairly easy on YouTube. On YouTube, all I did was look up free action/comedy music and some options came up. I had to ensure that they were actually free so I did some research online. In the end, I found some music that I thought would be good. The music portrays the genre of my film. The name of the music I will be using on YouTube is "Upbeat Jazz Comedy by Infraction". This music portrays the comedy and action that my film will have in it. It also says free to use in the description. T

Production Blog - Reaching Out

Image
Hello bloggers! It's time to get everyone together for my final task. This includes some of the faces that you all will be seeing in my final task. I had initially told them that I will be needing their help to do this. However, that was a couple weeks back, so I think it's only right that I reach out to them so that we can get this show on the road. So, I sent out a text, providing my cast with the schedule. Everyone was excited to finally film. I also gave them the script. I did this so that they could study the script so that when it's time to come together and film, there will be no confusion about what needs to be said. There are some people that were in my music video that will be seen again! I am happy to say that they enjoy working with me and I also enjoy working with them. Since I am not working with a group for the final task, it is crucial that I have other people that I can include in my film. Initially, I thought that I would have to resort to being with a gro
