Genre Decision

Image
I have decided that I will use... (drumroll please) the COMEDY GENRE!!! I am using this genre since it was really the only genre that I didn't have something I didn't like about it when researching. Also, I will have easy access to needed locations and props. The comedy genre will be perfect for me as a lot of people say I am naturally funny. I will be able to direct my cast to make my opening scene the funniest opening scene ever! I am so excited to start working on this final task.

My Pitch

Image
My Pitch Blog  Pitch A: A relentless detective must unravel a web of lies, corruption, and betrayal as a shadowy conspiracy threatens to destroy everything he holds dear. Pitch B:  A mismatched duo of amateur detectives stumble upon a real crime. Their comedic antics turn the investigation into a hilarious journey, mixing chaos with unexpected sleuthing skills. Pitch A Discussion:  I would be interested in making this film because it's a thriller. I would love to be able to make a thriller of my own, as I already enjoy watching them. However, there are some problems. One of the major problems is acting. I am not a very good actor so I try to keep my roles simple. I think that this role that I would have to take on would be too much. Also, I wouldn't be able to direct as I would like or film and see the camerawork. Pitch B Discussion: While I was writing this, I was already leaning towards this idea over pitch A. This is because I already have an image in my mind of how I woul

Going Solo, Once Again!

Image
Once again I am going solo! I am working alone this time around also. This is mainly because I did not need a group to execute my previous project, which was a music video. Everything went smoothly, and I was able to manage everything by myself. One of the main reasons that I don't like working in groups with others, especially if we are working on something important, is the fact that I have to depend on them to do their part. I've had a bad experience with group work in the past from school as most of the groups I've worked with almost never do their part, and I end up doing all the work myself. I found that working with friends isn't the best. It only works if everyone agrees that they will stick to the task at hand. There are few friends that I have that I can trust that they will do their part. Unfortunately, they don't take the same course as me so I am unable to work with them. Now, to the most important part! The opening sequence of a film. I kind of know w

Introduction to the Final Task!

Image
Hello again bloggers! As you know by now, my name is Marvin Nixon. I am new to blogging. This is because I only started a couple months ago. The journey has been great so far. I am learning so much and I am learning how to connect with people through social media. I just recently finished another project. It was a music video. Although it was time-consuming, I still loved the final product and so did my fellow peers. I am now moving to my next project. This one is a little tougher. Guess what it is! An opening sequence of an original film! I look forward to the challenge this new project will bring. I will go a little more into the project and what it really is in my next blog. As I bring this blog to a close, it has been such an adventure so far. The thing is, I have only just begun not too long ago, and I am already having so much fun. I can't wait to see what the future will bring. I know that by the end of this new project, I will feel accomplished and I will feel like I conqu
